Mountain Hope Family
Our story
In 2016, God placed a burden on Pastor David and Sarah's hearts for the children in their community who had lost parents to hardship, illness, and poverty. They opened their home to two children. Today their family has grown to fourteen.
Their home is filled with laughter and faith, and the conviction that every child can overcome their past. The older children mentor the younger; meals are shared around one long table; evenings end in prayer.
Set in the hills outside Chiang Mai, Mountain Hope is exactly what its name promises — a place of refuge where childhoods are restored, one ordinary day at a time.
Meet the family
David and Sarah lead the household with warmth and steadiness, caring for fourteen children aged 4 to 17 — each with their own story, gifts, and dreams.
You'll find footballers and artists, a budding cook, two who want to be nurses, and a quiet reader who has worked his way to the top of his class. What they share is a home where they are known by name and loved without condition.
Daily life
Mornings begin early — chores, breakfast together, and the walk to school. Afternoons are for homework, music, and football in the yard, with the older children helping cook and care for the youngest.
Weekends bring church, shared meals, and time in the garden, where the family grows much of its own food. Every day is ordinary in the best way: safe, predictable, and full of belonging.

Prayer requests
Please pray for the oldest two as they prepare for university entrance exams; for good health through the rainy season; and for David and Sarah, that they would be strengthened in their calling.
Thank you for holding this family in your prayers. It means more than they can say.
